trade talk

Hey DT Coaches,

Well as we enter Round 16 it is slim pickings on good cheap rookies that are going to have good job security and go up in value. It time to start looking at side stepping some of your rookies to other rookies of a similar price that will make you money. This might be the difference between an upgrade from a Trent Cotchin to a Scott Pendelbury.

Let’s check out this week’s Good and Bad Break Evens!

Baker’s Best Buys

  1. Joe Daniher – The last of the recognised gun rookies to enter the game this year. Could be the last good downgrade option.
  2. Sam Grimley – The Hawks have tried a few different options in the ruck this year.He looks good but job security is a bit up in the air.
  3. Mitchell Clisby – Seems to be liked by Neil Craig. Good bench option for your defence.
  4. Tom Mitchell – This kid is a gun. He looks like a regular starter for the Swans this year and will only continue to improve.
  5. Brandon Jack – The Swans like to keep it in the family. Kieran’s younger brother seems to fit in with the bloods nicely.

Baker’s Watch List

  1. Ryan O’Keefe
  2. Brad Ebert
  3. Leigh Montagna
  4. Dion Prestia
  5. Jimmy Bartel

Baker’s Keys to BEs

  • Look for guns that have under-performed and are on the comeback.
  • If a player is going to miss his BE and lose substantial money, trade them unless they are part of your long term plans.
  • Look for rookies that are going to go up in value fast. If one is under-performing, trade them for another rookie that will make you money. No time for sentiment.

Good Luck DT Coaches!
