Hey DT Coaches,
Its crunch time with the first of the three bye rounds upon us. It’s all about improving your team but also making sure you have coverage to get a competitive score over the three rounds. I’m thinking that if you can crack 1800 points each week you are doing extremely well. When evaluating who to trade in and who to trade out keep in mind the players that have the bye in the next two rounds. The question is do you sacrifice one round to have two amazing rounds or have an even spread across the three rounds and have an ok score.
Let’s check out this week’s Good and Bad Break Evens!

Baker’s Best Buys
- Mark Hutchings – A lot of us missed the boat last week thanks to Monday’s extended interchange not being announced in time.
- Brad Crouch – If he plays.
- Luke Ball – Cheap price for a gun. Could be the solution to the magpie’s slump in form.
- Brent Stanton – Back to his best after his injury setback.
- Ben Kennedy – Good priced rookie.

Baker’s Offloads
- Majak Daw – Very up and down. Will probably lose all the money he has gained. If he even gets a game.
- Heath Scotland – Way below his best. Needs to lift but get off him for now.
- Marc Murphy – Potentially has the ability to be amazing but is very inconsistent so far this year.
- Nick Riewoldt – Has had a great run over the last 5 weeks but the strain of carrying the whole team may have finally got to him.
- Patrick Ryder – For this value he has a big break even this week. Wait until he goes down in value then he will be a bargain.
Baker’s Keys to BEs
- Look for guns that have under-performed and are on the comeback.
- If a player is going to miss his BE and lose substantial money, trade them unless they are part of your long term plans.
- Look for rookies that are going to go up in value fast. If one is under-performing, trade them for another rookie that will make you money. No time for sentiment.
Good Luck DT Coaches!
Get rid of daw for Blicavs, who else is a rookie ruckman? What ruckman to aim for long term? Pyke and Nic Nat?
Nic Nat or Ryder or Kreuzer is the aim. Trade Daw for Thomas Nicholls. With Zac Smith out for the season he will play the rest of the year.
